Cheyenne Christmas Parade Details





When shopping on Black Friday and Shop Small Business Saturday, remember to pick up new toys to contribute to Toys for Tots.The Toys for Tots vehicle is the first featured float of the Cheyenne Christmas Parade presented by Spradley Barr Motors. During their journey through the route they have volunteer collecting from parade attendees donations. Simply bring the newly purchased toys to the parade and donate them on at the parade. Make the holidays bright for families and children within Laramie County. 

The Marine Corps Reserve and many Volunteers who make Toys for Tots possible year after year believe "Every Child Deserves a Little Christmas" and we are here to help make this possible.

Saturday, November 24th at 5:30 p.m. in Downtown Cheyenne on Carey Ave. & Capitol Ave. is the 28th Annual Cheyenne Christmas Parade and the special opportunity to contribute to Toys for Tots. The Cheyenne Christmas Parade will be featuring over 130 illuminating floats. 

CEREMONY Following the parade the community is invited to attend the City of Cheyenne Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony in the Depot Plaza conducted by Mayor Orr and Santa Claus. This year as well, they will be hosting a special ribbon cutting to launch the Depot Ice Rink.

STREET CLOSURES Streets closures for the parade will begin at 3 p.m. for a safe parade start at 5:30 p.m.  Signs are posted throughout downtown to remind vehicles to park off of the parade route. Vehicles which remain on the route prior to closure will be towed to the West lot off of 15th Street across from the Asher Building. 

WARM PLACES There are an array of businesses which will be open during the event for warm viewing including; The Paramount Ballroom & Cafe, Flippers Family Arcade, The Blue Art Gallery, Wyoming Home, Cheyenne Little Theatre Players in the Atlas, and many destinations. It is encouraged to attend the parade with winter attire and blankets to bundle up. 

SHOP SMALL Prior to the parade, the Greater Cheyenne Chamber of Commerce is encouraging the community to shop locally for Shop Small Business Saturday. a full list of Shop Small offerings is available HERE.
