Concept: A fundraiser to benefit local 5th and 6th graders who need athletic shoes for participation in school P.E.

P.E. shoes are a requirement that many, if not all, schools require of students, and are generally required to be left at the school. Unfortunately, there are many students who are not able to purchase an adequate shoe. A quality P.E. shoe should be able to be securely laced or fastened to the feet and provide sufficient grip and flexibility for the activity. Our hope is to help out as many students as we can to be prepared to give their best and be safe while doing it. A quality shoe can also provide a student with a new level of confidence.

We plan to provide P.E. shoes to various LCSD #1 and #2 schools based on need as identified by the schools. 100% of the proceeds from the event will go to purchase shoes for as many students as possible. In addition to planning and sponsoring the event, Hirst Applegate will also make an additional contribution to the cause.
