Annually, the Greater Cheyenne Chamber of Commerce hosts a week full of training and opportunity for business growth. The 2018 Business Week presented by DAPCPA Pope & Jackson will be nothing short of innovative!
The week begins with our monthly Chamber luncheon on Tuesday, November 6th, where we induct our honorees, Ed & Mary Weppner, into the prestigious Circle of Champions. Voted into the group by the Chamber Business Council, inductees are recognized as long-standing, good-willed, community members. Known for their philanthropy and volunteerism, inductees share their stories and history in a fire-side-chat-like atmosphere, as our attendees share in their experiences. The kick-off event for Business Week shares the importance of giving back to your community, and grow business through innovation and "raising all boats." REGISTER HERE
Following this great celebration, attendees of the luncheon can partake in a special "sneak peek" preview of the Business to Business Expo, which kicks off later in the afternoon for the business public from 4-7 pm. The expo is an incredible way to meet and mingle with an array of businesses, to include innovative businesses such as our presenting sponsor, DAPCPA Pope & Jackson, and a myriad of businesses. Get your free commemorative photos from Emma's Old Time Photos and Sheriff's Photo Booth, plan for next year's taxes; enjoy free snack foods from a wide array of vendors; and much more! Attendees of the Expo also have the opportunity to enter to win a free Fitbit Ionic smartwatch, just by chatting with the 70+ vendors! This event is FREE and open to the public!
On Thursday, November 8th, we reconvene in partnership with the Wyoming Business Report for the Southeast Economic Forecast Luncheon at 11:30 am at Little America Hotel & Resort. Join us as we hear a report of our state's economy, as well as hear from a panel on Cheyenne's forecast. Panelists include Dale Steenbergen (Greater Cheyenne Chamber of Commerce), Vicki Dugger (Cheyenne Downtown Development Association), and a guest panelist. Anne Alexander (University of Wyoming) will lead us through the discussion, and share her economic insight. Additionally, hear an update on the GBSD progress for our community! REGISTER HERE
Our final event for the week is the technology-based Lunch & Learn event at 11:30 am on Friday, November 9th at the Laramie County Library in the Cottonwood Room. Businesses garner specific practices that can be implemented in their business. This year we will hear from Eric Trowbridge (Array School of Technology & Design) as he shares practices that the innovative technology-based school has integrated. Eric will share technologies that you can take and implement into your business to help you grow and be one step above the rest! REGISTER HERE
