Business In Politics? Let’s Take A Vote

The impending election means that we are now in polling season. Ranging from opinions of candidates to stances on policies and including everything in between, voters in America are being asked for their opinions on all topics related to politics. This is a good time for the business community to take a look at how the population is feeling about relevant issues, and take action to advocate for pro-business policies. The U.S. Chamber of Commerce has recently conducted polls to see how voters feel about how business should be handled in politics.

The bottom line: Voters consistently showed that they are in support of both policies and candidates that support growth and business. While some responses varied across party lines, many of the voters polled were in support of:

  • Government staying out of business decisions

  • Enacting permitting reform

  • The pursuit of more global trade deals
