Cheyenne Crowns 2026 National Civics Bee Regional Champion

The Greater Cheyenne Chamber of Commerce hosted the 2026 National Civics Bee Regional Competition on Friday, April 24 at the Laramie County Library — and the Cheyenne community came out to show their support.

Parents, grandparents, and even an entire class of students packed the room to cheer on their competitors, creating an energy that made the afternoon truly special. Audience members could even participate themselves through a QR code that let them test their own civics knowledge alongside the competitors — a feature that kept everyone engaged and connected to the competition.

After a competitive afternoon of civics knowledge and community engagement questions, Avalynn F. took first place and Miles G. came in 2nd. Both Avalynn and Miles will advance to represent Cheyenne at the State Competition!

The National Civics Bee, presented by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation, challenges middle school students across all 50 states to demonstrate their knowledge of civics and their commitment to their communities.
